How do you get those machines when the cost of conquest is ever-slower machine production? if you don't want the dead-weight to drag you down. so you need ever more expensive-to-build and slower-to-get machines to occupy those jobs. but players build their planets with intent and when you take them over, the organics can't work those jobs. On AI empires, it's not great loss if you need to reorganize the entire planet because most likely, the AI built it up badly and you can freely scrap most of it (I mean, the only useful planets I found the AI to have are industrial-sector heavy planets and even those were badly made, less so with Starnet AI mod). ![]() But what about MP when you deal with players who also scale up their pops rather rapidly? ![]() How do you handle conquest in the early/mid game? Doesn't it tank your economy?Īlso, I imagine you only did a SP runthrough of the game and that, indeed, when the AI is braindead, makes it easier to conquer and take over their worlds without much economic impact 150 years in because you're just so ahead of everything and everyone that it doesn't matter. ![]() Ludaire, in response to both your comments.
